Trailer Mechanic
Job Description
A local tailer company is looking to add a Trailer Mechanic to their growing team!
We are looking for a Trailer Mechanic who can diagnose, modify, and/or repair trailers and perform routine maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate should have good mechanical and organizational skills!
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure trailers operate safely and efficiently
- Install, modify, and repair trailer components according to specifications and customer requirements
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, including wiring harnesses, lighting systems, and related components
- Complete welding, fabrication, and repair work on aluminum and carbon steel trailers and components
- Perform suspension alignments, tire and wheel replacements, oil changes, and other preventive maintenance services
- Assist with specialized installations and repairs, including pumps, blowers, paint touch-ups, aluminum polishing, and other shop projects as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a trailer mechanic
- Must be able to pass a background and drug test
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced shop environment
- Strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to speak and understand Spanish is preferred
- Welding experience with both steel and aluminum required
- Forklift experience preferred
Schedule:
- Monday- Friday
- 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Pay Rate:
- $21-$24/Hour (DOE)
