Seeking a highly skilled Tooling Manager to manage all mold tooling from new molds to repairs and improvements. Responsibilities include managing new molds, executing process validation protocols, addressing issues with molded components, and implementing cost improvement ideas. Responsibilities:
- Perform toward enhancing entire part quality to reduce scrap as well as rework
- Establish and execute strong manufacturing relationships across departments and in support of plant-wide operations.
- Ensure to provide cost-effective and high-quality technical support to all customers on time.
- Maintain and comply with high standards for housekeeping and safety resulting in a safe and clean atmosphere for all employees.
- Provide preventative support and repairs to the fitments department on time and effectually considering life-cycle costs.
- Ensure to pay careful attention to entire shop floor bottlenecks
- Support to reduce conversion costs and enhance process equipment
- Convey detailed relevant information to upper management, key customers plus employees
- Establish operating indicators to measure departmental performance regularly
- Execute continuing productivity enhancement programs
- Support with scheduling and various daily functions
- Ability to oversee a training program for newly skilled team members.
- Any other tasks assigned
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a drug screen
- 5-7 years of experience
- Understanding of product design and function
- Experience with various processes including gates, thermals, runners, ejections, thermal dynamics, metallurgy, and mechanical applications.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- SolidWorks skills preferred
- Ability to analyze and solve problems
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Welding experience or knowledge is preferred for this position. MIG or Stick welding.
