Job Description
A unique, international metal manufacturing company located near Kelly USA is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk. This position will have the team member working in both an office and manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments, preparing items for shipment, and managing inventory control.
- Verify and inspect incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy, completeness, and overall condition of shipments.
- Verify accuracy of shipments by counting, weighing, or measuring items and comparing size, weight, description, and part number with information on packing slip and purchase orders.
- Inspect and record any shipments for discrepancies, damage or defects and notify supervisor if necessary.
- Photograph and record all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Move inventory to various locations manually and by operating mechanical equipment, including forklift, pallet jack, and handcart.
- Package outgoing shipments.
- Inspect material handling equipment for defects and notify immediate supervisor if found.
- Complete training requirements prior to using Forklift.
- Follow safety procedures in plant at all times.
- Responsible for ensuring scrap metal material are disposed of in the appropriate bins for recycling.
- Responsible for following shipping and receiving procedures.
- Ensure warehouse is well maintained and kept organized.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of your knowledge.
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a drug screen
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Lift 50 pounds
- Stand/Sit for up to 8 hours.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Be able to read, write and count.
- Be able to wear PPE.
- Be able to perform visual inspections.
- Be able to work with their hands repeatedly.
- Be able to wear PPE.
Work Environment:
- Be able to work in the heat
- Be able to work in the cold
- There will be occasional loud noise
- There will be dust occasionally
- Indoor facility
- Risk of chemical exposure.
- Disclaimer: Due to the use of equipment causing electromagnetic fields, operator must be free of prostheses, particularly of a cardiac type (pacemaker) or a metal or similar implant. The company cannot offer employment to anyone with these conditions.

- 1st Shift: 10 AM – 6:30 PM

- $15/hour
