Job Description
A global automotive supplier that works with the top automobile manufacturers is looking to hire an experienced Quality Control Assistant Manager to join their growing team!

Responsibilities:
- Create, revise, and audit consistency of work instructions, train and teach importance of Quality & Kaizen mindset in a team environment.
- Develop and conduct training / mentoring of group leaders and team members.
- Assign work tasks, monitor progress to scheduling and validate accuracy.
- Manage in-house inspection equipment as well as supplies needed for the QC group.
- Manage and investigate returned products from customer and in-house defective parts.
- Create and implement changes to improve quality control processes, improving safety, quality and reducing costs.
- Maintain working environment by complying with ISO14001, IATF16949, safety guidelines, procedures and regulations.
- Model PDCA, take ownership in collaborating and supporting in a team environment with commitment to the organization.
- Research and involve respective departments to achieve immediate corrective/preventative action response to pertinent customer and internal CAPA's, as required.
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and a background check.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality control including understanding of GD&T on drawings
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in quality control or manufacturing.
- Math skills, - Basic mathematic skills to ensure accurate measurements.
- Computer skills working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Leadership track record and good understanding of how to lead people.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Able to lift up to 30lbs.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or Quality
- Experience in a cross-cultural working environment.
- High mechanical aptitude
- Experience in CMM measurement, dyno measuring equipment and other measurement instruments
- Problem-solving mindset, willingness to go see the source of the issue.
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday, with some Saturday
- 8am-5pm some days may go later
Pay Rate:
- DOE, submit your salary requirements
- Relocation allowance provided
