Project Manager - Low Voltage Data Cabling

Job Description

Are you a construction professional with experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects? We’re hiring two Project Managers to support the build of multiple data centers in Abilene, TX—one focused on Core/Shell construction and the other on interior Fit Out.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of new construction for either the Core/Shell or the Fit Out of a data center project
  • Coordinate daily project execution including scheduling, subcontractor oversight, and quality control
  • Ensure project delivery within scope, time, and budget while adhering to safety and performance standards
  • Oversee the installation of structured cabling, rack infrastructure, and related systems
  • Collaborate with engineers, clients, and internal teams to ensure project alignment
  • Utilize project management tools to track milestones, documentation, and reports
  • Work under Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) contract guidelines and procedures
 
Requirements:
  • 1+ years of experience in mechanical and electrical repair is required
  • Basic computer and email communication skills required
  • Ability to diagnose problems based on customer descriptions and technical clues practicing excellent customer service skills
  • Comfortable using hand tools, reading schematics, and working independently
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, drug test, and background check
  • Must be comfortable with occasional out-of-town travel
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial and/or data center construction and project management
  • Strong background in structured cabling, rack infrastructure, and telecommunications installations
  • Experience managing large-scale projects under GMP contracts
  • Successful track record with service contracts and projects over $1 million
  • Familiarity with products from Panduit, CommScope, Corning, and similar manufacturers
  • Excellent communication, prioritization, and time management skills
 
Schedule:
  • Monday – Saturday
 
Pay Rate:
  • $100,000 – $130,000 annually (based on experience)
