Job Description

 
A local Concrete Construction company in Schertz is looking for a mechanically inclined person who will train and develop skills to maintain medium-heavy equipment for a concrete cutting fleet. Vehicles are diesel, with many having hydraulic components. 
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Preventive maintenance like oil changes and brake jobs
  • Repairs like bearing replacements, oil leaks. 
 
Requirements:
  • 1 - 2 years of heavy equipment or vehicle maintenance
  • Must be able to work long hours and overtime
  • Must be okay with servicing vehicles at times on a work project site (outside in elements)
  • Must be mechanically inclined and adaptable to learning company equipment
  • Must pass background check, drug screen, have valid driver license and decent driving history to eventually drive company vehicles
  • Must be okay with commuting to the Schertz/New Braunfels area
  • Must be 21 or older to work for this company
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and no DWI’s in last 5 years
Schedule: Monday-Friday (mostly), 6AM-5PM (mostly)
 
Pay Rate: $18.00 to $20.00, DOE
