Industrial Motor Winder
Job Description
Put your electrical and mechanical skills to work! We’re looking for an experienced Industrial Motor Winder to wind, rewind, and repair AC/DC motor coils while producing quality work with precision and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Wind and rewind AC/DC motor coils and windings according to engineering specifications and established procedures
- Set up and operate coil winding machines and related equipment for various wire sizes, coil configurations, and winding requirements
- Install, shape, form, tie, lace, connect, solder, and braze coils and windings as required
- Apply insulation materials and perform coil insertion, termination, and related assembly tasks
- Read and interpret winding diagrams, electrical schematics, blueprints, work orders, and technical specifications
- Perform electrical testing and quality inspections while assisting with motor disassembly, repair, cleaning, and reassembly as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience winding or rewinding AC and/or DC electric motors required
- Experience operating and setting up coil winding equipment
- Ability to read and understand winding diagrams, electrical schematics, drawings, and detailed work instructions
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with a basic understanding of motors, coils, windings, insulation, and electrical connections
- Ability to use precision measuring tools, hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment
- Strong attention to detail and quality with the ability to work independently and safely in an industrial environment while wearing PPE
- Experience with industrial motors, generators, transformers, high-voltage or large frame motors, and electrical/mechanical technical training is a plus
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen

- Monday – Friday
Pay Rate:
- $40/Hour (Depending on Experience)
