Job Description
A local San Antonio-based bookbindery company is looking for an experienced machine operator to join their amazing team! They are looking for someone long term for this position so employees who shine will be hired on as a permanent placement! Work in the convenient downtown area with great hours and possible overtime.
Responsibilities:
- Run and adjust different size of folding on specific types of signature.
- Monitor runs in progress, fix simple mechanical jams and re-set the machine to ensure continued timely production.
- Perform end of run cleaning process and preventative maintenance as required.
- Enter and log all set-up run counts and dates in log books.
- Maintain optimum quality and production to ensure the daily production schedule is met.
- May be asked to operate other bindery equipment if needed
- Any other tasks assigned.
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a drug screen.
- 1 to 2 years minimum experience operating machines.
- Ability to understand verbal and written instructions and to follow directions.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push/pull, lift/carry up to 50 Lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Quality and detail oriented with ability to organize.
- Mechanically inclined huge plus!
- Ability to read a ruler/tape measurer.
- Great verbal and written communication.
- Ability to get along well with others.
- Willingness to learn and advance within the company.
Schedule:
- 7 AM - 3:30 PM (Flexibility with working extended hours)
Pay Rate:
- $17/hour
