Job Description
A city-funded organization is looking for an experienced accounting manager to join their organization! Be a part of a “family-oriented” team that works together to achieve great service and benefits for our city’s hardworking retirees! The representative is responsible for all accounting duties in the organization. Experience and superior accounting knowledge is a must!
This opportunity can provide amazing pay, full health benefits for you and your family, a 2 to 1 match 401k, 2 weeks of vacation, 1 week of sick pay, and 13 government holidays, and this all kicks in from day 1!! The location is centrally located and a beautiful building that is conveniently located near many restaurants and stores for your lunch break. This is not a remote opportunity.
Qualified candidates will be considered for direct hire!
Responsibilities:
- Reconciling the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers.
- Completing journal entries
- Processing payroll for the entire organization
- Completing all accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Completing analysis of the employee expenditure.
- Managing income and expenditure accounts.
- Generating the company’s financial reports using income and expenditure data.
- Keeping a check on the company’s finances based on financial status.
- Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations.
- Initiating and managing financial and accounting Peachtree software.
Requirements:
- 5-7 recent years of professional accountant experience
- Peachtree knowledge is a huge plus.
- Must be well versed in journal entries, bank reconciliations, and all facets of payroll.
- Must be okay with putting in 40-50 hours of work each week so execute companies workload.
- Must be reliable, dependable and have a strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to pass background check, drug screening, and potential credit check.
- Work references at previous work opportunities are also required
Job Schedule:
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Additional hours after 5PM or on Saturdays might be required at certain times of the year.
- Monday-Friday
- Off on all government holidays
Job Pay:
- Depending upon experience and accounting knowledge
- Salary range can be in the vicinity of $75K-$80K
Location:
- 78216 – North Central San Antonio
- Near San Antonio Airport
