Job Description
Local tax office is looking for a talented Accounting Assistant to join their team ASAP!
The ideal candidate will have previous experience maintaining financial records, working with Microsoft Office Excel, performing bank reconciliations, and ensuring accuracy in all financial transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Record financial transactions using double-entry bookkeeping.
- Perform bank reconciliations.
- Maintain general ledger and assist in preparing financial statements.
- Adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GMP).
Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience with financial concepts and practices.
- Proficient working with Excel and double-entry bookkeeping practices.
- Knowledge of general ledger accounting procedures and GAAP standards.
- Detail oriented and experienced using financial software for data entry and reporting.
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday
- 10AM – 6PM
- OT will be required during ‘Tax Season’ (Jan-Apr)
Pay Rate:
- $16 - $19/Hourly
